The 2006 running of the Four Inches Long Distance Race in the Forth Estuary 
is to be held on Saturday 24th June.
The Race covers 30+ miles of the River Forth, circumnavigating Four 'Inches' 
or Islands, and passing through the famous Forth Rail Bridge.

The Race is being hosted this year Dalgety Bay Sailing Club in Fife (just 5 
minutes drive after crossing the Forth Road Bridge.)

The Race will start no earlier than midday on Saturday, with Sunday in 
reserve for the weather.
There will be round the cans racing on the Sunday.

The wind usually sees the course as a windward leeward, with approx 15 miles 
in each direction. The course record stands at just over 2 hours, set by a 
Tornado in reaching conditions two years ago. ome and beat it!
